Our Mission

Congo Freight Lines plans to be the leading trucking company in the Democratic Republic of Congo. With a projected fleet of over 100 trucks, including semi-trucks, box trucks, and refrigerated vehicles, we will be positioned to play a vital role in moving goods and equipment across the country. Our mission is to support the development of the DRC's 145 territories by providing efficient and dependable transportation solutions to help realize President Felix Tshisekedi's vision for the nation. We’re seeking funds in the form of a loan or a win win partnership with an investor to materialize our project of becoming the largest trucking company in the DRC.

In 2010, Elon Musk and his company Tesla secured a $465 million loan from the Obama Administration to launch his electric vehicle venture. With a clear vision, Tesla has now become the largest electric vehicle manufacturer globally, and Musk repaid the loan in under five years. The Obama Administration's faith in him proved fruitful, as he and his team now contribute billions in taxes.Today, we are seeking a lender who shares our vision and can provide the necessary funds to establish ourselves as the largest trucking company in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We are committed to repaying our loan on time, paying taxes, and creating well-paying jobs.

Supply and Demand

The population of the DRC is growing rapidly, leading to high demand for goods, particularly food and basic necessities. One of President Felix Tshisekedi's significant challenges is the soaring cost of living, primarily driven by an inadequate transportation system for moving goods across the country. Many items are spoiling in provinces due to the lack of distribution, discouraging farmers and causing them to abandon their crops. The shortage of trucks results in high transportation costs, which are ultimately passed on to consumers, further increasing the cost of living in the DRC.

Currently, agriculture is a major focus for the DRC. While there is potential for extensive agricultural development, without proper transportation to move goods, progress will be stunted, reminiscent of the Bukanga Lonzo situation. Like Mobutu in the early 70s, President Felix Tshisekedi is determined to advance the country, and we believe in his vision to make this trucking project a reality, ultimately alleviating the suffering of the Congolese people.

The United States boasts the largest economy globally, with an estimated 3 million class 8 semi-trucks and 7 million box trucks facilitating the movement of goods domestically and internationally. Transportation is crucial for a nation's economy. We urge that individuals of integrity be given the opportunity to assist the government in enhancing the logistics of goods transport in the DRC, as the lack of proper logistics solutions poses challenges for outside investors. We are the solution.

Employment

Our aim is to generate numerous well-paying jobs for both young men and women, with the majority of our trucks being equipped with automatic transmissions to facilitate the training and employment of female drivers. We are committed to achieving a workforce comprising at least 30% women, which will significantly alter the perception of women working as truck drivers in the DRC. Additionally, we intend to collaborate with Service National  and other NGOs to provide employment opportunities to reformed young men and women who were previously involved in delinquent activities.

We suggest that the funds be allocated directly to the relevant parties, including the truck dealer, the shipping company, the port authorities, and the Tariffs authorities, rather than being directly allocated to us. This should reassure our lender that the funds will not be misused or lost.

In five years, Congo Freight Lines will fully repay our lender, including all fees and loan charges. We anticipate a growth rate of at least 20% annually by adding a minimum of 20 trucks each year. Our goal is to achieve a net income of at least $600,000 per month, totaling $7.2 million in the first year, with a 20% increase each subsequent year. We are confident in our ability to the loan, with all equipment and land serving as collateral. Should we fail to meet our obligations, the bank can repossess the necessary assets to mitigate any losses. We will adhere to the manufacturer's maintenance recommendations, using only the highest quality parts and lubricants sourced from the United States, ensuring our trucks last for decades. By the end of our fifth year, we aim to have at least 250 trucks in operation.

Trucking needs of the DRC

The completion of the deep-sea port of Banana on the Atlantic Ocean will lead to a significant demand for the trucking industry, with the port having a capacity to handle 450,000 TEUs per year. Efficient transportation logistics will be crucial for the smooth movement of containers, and Congo Freight Lines is poised to serve as the leading trucking company, ensuring the timely clearance and transportation of containers across the DRC.
The construction of the Beira–Lobito Highway, also known as TAH 9, spanning 3,523 km (2,189 mi), will traverse Angola, the southern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and central Mozambique. This new highway will create numerous opportunities in the trucking industry, and Congo Freight Lines is prepared to meet the transportation needs of the DRC, generating a substantial number of well-paying jobs for the youth of the country.

The Democratic Republic of Congo requires an efficient ground transportation system to facilitate the movement of goods within the country and to neighboring regions, thereby enhancing its economy. With trains being slow and planes costly, trucks emerge as the most suitable option for transporting goods. The DRC needs a significant number of high-quality trucks, which do not have to be brand new. Our strategy is to procure high-quality used trucks at a fraction of the cost of new ones.
